Not every turning point looks like a crisis.

Sometimes change doesn't arrive with a dramatic event — a diagnosis, a divorce, an empty nest all at once. Sometimes it arrives quietly, as a low hum you've learned to live alongside. And because it's quiet, it's easy to dismiss, explain away, or simply get used to.

Here are five signs worth paying attention to, if they sound familiar:

1. You feel restless without an obvious reason.
Your life may look fine on paper — and still feel like something's missing or off. That gap between "fine" and "right" is worth noticing, not explaining away.

2. Things that used to satisfy you don't anymore.
A hobby, a role, a routine that once felt meaningful now feels flat. That's not a failure on your part — it's often a sign you've grown past it.

3. You find yourself daydreaming about a different life.
Not necessarily a dramatic one — sometimes it's as simple as imagining more time, more quiet, more say over your own days.

4. You're more irritable about things that never used to bother you.
Small frustrations that hit harder than they used to are often a signal that something deeper needs attention.

5. You keep saying "someday" about things that matter to you.
If "someday" has been sitting on your list for years, that's usually less about timing and more about permission you haven't given yourself yet.

None of these mean something is wrong with you. They mean you're paying attention — which is the first step toward change that actually fits who you are now.
